New Life Volunteering Society Free Health Clinic

history

New Life Volunteering Society is a secular, non-profit organization, founded at University of Illinois at Chicago in 1999 with the purpose of alleviating the suffering of the underprivileged. Towards this end, in 2003, NLVS began working together with the IAMA Charitable Foundation to open a free clinic on Saturdays in the West Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. The clinic serves a diverse population 200% below the poverty line.

MISSION

The New Life Volunteering Society free health clinic serves as a comprehensive medical care facility dedicated to serving the uninsured of Chicago in primary and secondary prevention of chronic medical conditions and also training future health care professionals by providing an educational setting to learn and practice clinical skills.
